 he Palma Sola Botanical Park Foundation, a nonprofit 501 (c)(3) corporation, was created in 1993 to preserve the former nursery as a valuable green space and park. In October 1996, the Foundation entered into a long-term agreement with Manatee County Government to establish the Palma Sola Botanical Park .
The Foundation and Manatee County are working in partnership to develop the park which provides our community with a unique opportunity to enjoy educational programs, passive recreation and public events in the midst of ten acres of natural beauty. The park now boasts of lush tranquil gardens, two lakes, the Galleria and Baden Buildings as well as a screen pavilion and a gazebo for us to enjoy. Children can frolic in their own special area, complete with kid-size play equipment and special butterfly garden! The Palma Sola Botanical Park needs Foundation members to continue to grow.
